Cornish paces Rangers

Rob Cornish won the 200 and 500-yard Freestyle events to lead Spencerport to a 90-89 victory over host Churchville-Chili in boys swimming.

Cornish took the 200 in 1:57.1 and the 500 in 5:17.7. Other first place finishers for the Rangers were Doug Hampton in the 200-yard Individual Medley in 2:22.4, Adam Ziobroski the 50-yard Freestyle in :24.39, John Allen the 100-yard Butterfly in :57.48 and Walter Sanders in the 100-yard Freestyle in :54.34.

The 200-yard Medley Relay team of CJ Hura, Allen, Kellan Head and Sanders also won in 1:51 flat. For the most part, the Rangers swam the final four events exhibition.

For Churchville-Chili, Steven Brown won the diving competition with 156.8 points, Tyler Smith the 100-yard Backstroke and Mike Sabatka the 100-yard Breaststroke in 1:08.4.

The Saints 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Chad Ceasor, Tom Loughlin, Todd Adams and Tim Knab won in 1:45.3 and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay team of Knab, Adams, Conor Naughton and Sabatka were victorious in 3:54 flat.
