Varsity teams at SHS participate in service efforts

Each of the Varsity athletic teams at Spencerport High School participated in a volunteer community service/charity project through the Spencerport Student-Athletes Care Program during the 2006-07 fall season.

Boys Soccer assisted with inventory and distribution of textbooks/supplies for the high school; Girls Soccer assisted with summer high school inventory of supplies and equipment; Girls Swimming participated in the Breast Cancer Walk; B/G Cross Country assisted with Rochester Marathon - staffed a relief/water station and Girls Tennis participated and raised money in the Al Sigl Center Walk About.

Other team efforts included: Fall cheerleading donated $200 to the American Cancer Society; football assisted with SSBC chicken barbecue; boys volleyball made and served sandwiches for the Ronald McDonald House and Girls Volleyball wrote letters to soldiers in Afghanistan and painted the hallways at the high school in school colors.
