MacEwan, Ortiz lead Blue Devils
It was Senior Day and Brockport finished its home schedule in style with a 95-83 boy's swimming victory over Eastridge to improve their record to 7-1. Mike MacEwan and Ryan Ortiz combined for four individual first place finishes and three relay team firsts to pace the Blue Devils.
MacEwan finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in :22.91 and the 100-yard freestyle in :50.63 while Ortiz took top honors in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:15.50 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.53.
The 200-yard medley relay team of MacEwan, John Scheda, Devin Heitz and Rob Ferries began the meet, winning in 1:51.48 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ortiz, Scheda, Noah Chhibbler and MacEwan won in 1:40.59.
Also finishing first for Brockport was Steven Campbell in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.59, Jesse Mattice in diving with 210.70 points, Trevor Speer in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.28 and Josh Briggs in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:37.15.
