Brockport High presents popular game show
"The Nearlywed Game," a spin off of the 1970s "The Newlywed Game" will take place in the Brockport High School auditorium, 700 Central School Drive, on Monday, February 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door or $2 with a coupon found on flyers in the high school. Presale tickets will be sold until February 9.
Four couples will battle for the title of "Nearlyweds 2007." The couple correctly answering the most questions about their relationship wins a prom ticket (for juniors and seniors) or a Mad Ball ticket with dinner (for freshmen and sophomores). This production, presented by the BHS Business Club and Entrepreneurship class, features Will Banner and Sara Maier, together for one year and three months; Nick Flanagan and Emma VanDenburg, dating for eight months; Jeremy Toscano and Emily Westcott, going strong for two years; and Cody Gilliam and Ashley Juby, who have been inseparable for two-and-a-half years.
Concessions will be available at the show. Door prizes will be given to the audience thanks to local businesses including Mark's Pizzeria, Main Street Pizza, Lift Bridge Book Shop, Pizza Hut, Tops, Java Junction, Seaward Candies and Bittersweet. Free Nearlywed T-Shirts will also be given away. Entertainment throughout the show will be provided by Brockport High School students, including Triple Quartet, "Right to a Fault," Zach Mills, Andy Palumbo and Corey Bryant.
