Saints wrestlers fall to Titans

Churchville-Chili received pins from Charlie Morone, Paul Salmin and Rory Conedy, but dropped a 34-28 decision to Greece Arcadia in varsity wrestling.

Morone put the Saints ahead early in the match with a pin at 112 lbs. in 3:30. Coupled with Kyle Walker's forfeit victory at 125 lbs., the Saints had a 12-3 lead but dropped the next six consecutive matches. Greg Schworm stopped the bleeding with six takedowns during his 15-6 win at 160 lbs. Salmin then scored a pair of first period takedowns before pinning his man in 2:59 at 189 lbs. and Conedy had little trouble in registering a pin just eleven seconds into the second period at 215 lbs. to close the match.

The Saints, now 6-4 overall and in fourth place in Division 3, are off to prepare for the Section Five Championships February 9-10.
