Sara Monnier, fourth grade teacher at Spencerport's Taylor Elementary School, reported to Fort Riley, Kansas at the end of January and her Army Reserve Unit could be in Iraq in April. Principal Monica Macaluso and the staff at Taylor honored Monnier and her family with a breakfast on Friday, January 19. Co-workers provided her with computer gear so she can communicate with family, friends and students during her deployment. "We have been with you on this journey and will continue to be with you in our hearts for the months to come," Macaluso said at the gathering.
