Info offered for prospective foster parents

Monroe County will host information sessions for residents interested in foster parenting. The sessions, which are open for anyone over age 21, typically last an hour. Foster parents can be married or single, can rent or own a home, and most importantly must want to have a positive impact in the life of a child.

The schedule for parenting information sessions is as follows:

  • March 20 at 7 p.m. at Gates Chili High School, 910 Wegman Road, Gates;
  • March 27 at 7 p.m. at Taylor Elementary School, 399 Ogden-Parma Townline Road, Spencerport;
  • April 24 at 7 p.m. at Oliver Middle School, 40 Allen Street, Brockport and
  • May 1 at 7 p.m. at Quest Elementary School, 225 West Avenue, Hilton.
