GO ART! events celebrate arts awareness month

The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council has published its annual Arts Awareness Month Calendar of Events. The annual calendar is compiled by GO ART! and contains arts and cultural events in Genesee and Orleans counties. It is available online at www.goart.org or at GO ART!'s satellite locations in the Albion Visitors Center, 121 North Main Street, or at the Orleans Chamber of Commerce Medina Office, 433 Main Street, Medina.

The month of March was declared Arts Awareness Month in Genesee and Orleans counties in 2000. Linda Blanchet, Executive Director of GO ART! was "looking for a way to promote everything that was happening culturally in our counties." Local arts and cultural organizations as a well as schools are asked to send information on any cultural event that is scheduled for March. That information is then compiled into a calendar and is distributed throughout the two counties. This is the ninth year that GO ART! has published the calendar.
