BROCKPORT

•Bongiovanni, Frank V., age 86, formerly of Albion, died February 24, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He retired from Gates Chili Central School, where he worked in the janitorial department for over 20 years. Frank was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 1942-1945, and a member of the Brockport Free Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his wife Marie in 1993. He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Lyman and Christine (Herb) Jurs, both of Florida; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Brittany, Kristin and Amy; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; friends and especially his niece Roslee (Rocco) Sidari who looked after Frank for the last 14 years. Three brothers and a sister predecease him.

In accordance with Frank's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice in his memory.


•Smith, Henry E., of Webster, formerly of Brockport, on January 28, 2007. Predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Irene (Jo) Luskey of Brockport, in 2000. Survived by his children Mary Ellen (Thomas) Rousseau of Connecticut, Jayne (Drake) Michno of Webster, Gregory (Cheryl) Smith of Sequim, Washington and Stephen (Patty) Smith of Beaverton, Oregon; grandchildren Aaron (Suzanne) Francis, Patrick and Kathleen Rousseau, Shannon (Richard) Bradley, Scott and Erin Michno, Jarrod (Heather) and Jordon Johnson, Amber (Joseph) Kunz, Sarah and Kayla Smith; eight great grandchildren; his dear friend Irene S. Manitsas of Brockport; brother-in-law Francis Luskey of Brockport; nieces and nephews. Henry was a graduate of Churchville High School, attended Mechanics Institute. Employed by IBM, Commercial Controls Corp., Friden Inc., San Leandro, California, Singer Business Machine and Xerox of California. He was a mechanical engineer and was issued five patents while working for Singer and four from Xerox. He served in the US Navy during World War II.

Funeral Services were held February 1 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Webster. Interment at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to the Ogden Baptist Church, 721 Washington Street, Spencerport 14559 or to a charity of one's choice in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Carter, Jane R. (Trapp), February 27, 2007, at age 56 after a courageous battle with liver cancer. She is survived by her husband, Lorin Carter; her daughter Lori-Beth (Nate) Williams; her granddaughter, Samantha Williams; her parents, David and Marion Trapp; her siblings, David (Joyce) Trapp, Susan (Jim) Heeks, Karen (Bob) Jaus, Dan (Lois) Trapp and Jim (Tammy) Trapp; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held March 3 at Pearce Memorial Church, North Chili. Contributions can be made to the Mount Carmel House, 4 Planet Street, Rochester 14606 and Pearce Memorial Church in her memory.


HILTON

•Groves, Lester H., February 28, 2007, age 78. Predeceased by his son, Leslie S. Groves in 1951. Survived by his wife, Betty (Smith) Groves; daughter, Dianne (William) Grant; siblings, Emerson (Jean) Groves, Florida, Marilyn Hollenbeck, Hamlin, Charles E. Groves, Hamlin, Kathleen McDowell, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Shannon and Christopher; great-grandson, Hunter; brother-in-law, Allen Smith. He also leaves his "#2" daughter, Peggy Lingeman.

A Memorial Service was held March 2 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Burial in Parma Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family. •Klock, Barbara (Corsaw), Age 89, February 26, 2007. Predeceased by her husband, John; brothers, Robert and Roger Corsaw. Survived by sons, Douglas (Lynn) Klock, Barry Klock; grandchildren, Derek (Ruth) Klock, Kristin, Kevin, Heather, Adam; niece, Karen Derx. She was a former teacher in Hilton and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

•Mohr, Elfriede M., February 23, 2007 age 84. Predeceased by her husband, Wilhelm, 1981. Survived by her son Reinhard Mohr; brothers, Alfred (Margarete) Goldstein, Rudolf (Irmgard) Goldstein; nephews, Peter (Heike) Goldstein, Klaus (Anne) Goldstein of Germany.

•Weader, Ray, age 91, died February 24, 2007. He was predeceased by his wife Dora in 1995. He is survived by his children, Winifred Hinkle of Hulberton, Arthur (Patricia) Weader of South Carolina, Eugene Weader of Hulberton; grandchildren, Valerie (James) Niederhofer of Carlton, Glenn Weader of Clarendon, Vickie (Ricky) Marriott of Virginia, Janet (Paul) Novak of Arizona; great-grandchildren, TSGT Justin (Lysa) Niederhofer and their son Kyle of Ramstein, Germany AFB, Andrew Niederhofer of Carlton, Ericka and Shauna Marriott of Virginia; daughter-in-law Gloria Weader of Clarendon; three brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

•Baug, Rosie D. (Dentino), On February 24, 2007, age 70. She is predeceased by her parents, Olivia and Anthony Dentino. Loving Mother of Jay (Michele) Baug, Allison (Nick) DiSalvo and Jerry (Danielle) Baug; husband Gerald Baug; beloved grandma of Nicole, Danielle, Samantha, Katierose, Alisha, Michael, Cheyenne and Troy; beautiful sister to twin Clementina (Frank) L'Abbate, Alice (Les) Langer-Smith, Nunzio (Sue) Dentino, Vito (Carol) Dentino, Richard Dentino, Anthony Dentino; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated February 28 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


•Nixon, William G. "Willie," February 24, 2007, at age 87. Predeceased by his granddaughter, Tammy Nixon. Survived by his sons Calvin Nixon and Martin (Terri) Nixon; daughters, Sharon Michaud, Dinah (Dave) McCarthy, Joyce (Harold) Stewart and Jenny Nixon; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Freeman and Harriet Ireland and his loving cat Pudee. Willie was a Truck Driver for 33 years at L. B. Finewood.

•Phillips, Mildred E., February 28, 2007. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years Clinton F. Phillips. She is survived by her brother Arthur Hendel; children Thomas (Diane) Phillips, John (Holly) Phillips, Marilyn (David) McAllister, Carol Ann Phillips; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

•Chapin, Audrey J., February 27, 2007, age 68. She is survived by her husband, Robert R. Chapin Sr.; her children, Diana (Dominick DoVidio), Michael (Marcy), Robert (Deborah), Steven (Johanna) Chapin; nine grandchildren, Ricky and Tara VanEpps, Michele, Christopher, Jennifer, Jessica, Mikayla, Gabrielle and Cameron Chapin; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Elaine Goddard; sister-in-law, Anne Berl; nieces and nephews.

•Scott, Jean P., On Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at age 83. She is predeceased by her husband, W. Dale Scott; brother, Robert Price; sisters, Marian Anderson, Carolyn Akers and Shirley Reichelt. Survived by her children William D. (Mary) Scott Jr., Sylvia (Bob) Spamer, Linda Brothers, Donald G. (Elaine) Scott and Richard W. Scott; grandchildren, Paul (Emily), William, Robert, Anthony, Daniel, Jeremy (Amy) and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Logan, Sydney Nicole and Evan Scott; sisters, Doris, Janet, Phyllis, Christina and Joanna; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Hans Witt and Arlene Neuhaus. She was a member of the FBBC and a member of the Ogden Senior Center.

•Smith, Donald L., February 17, 2007, age 88 of Stuart, Florida formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Don was born in Spencerport on February 16, 1919. Beloved husband of 64 years of the late Lorraine N. Smith; father of Sherrill S. (Robert) West, Gregory C. (Dale) Smith, Brian D. (Glenda) Smith and Laurel S. (David) Rosenberg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grand-hildren. Don, also known as DL, graduated from Spencerport High School in 1936 and the University of Rochester in 1940. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and employed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 1985 as Vice President and General Manager of Westinghouse Electric Supply Company.

A private memorial service was held in Stuart, Florida.
