The Holley Board of Education recognized the Holley Sports Boosters with a Soaring to New Heights Award at its February 26 meeting for the many contributions the organization makes to the school district. "The Sports Boosters have enhanced sports programs for our students since their inception," said Board President John Heise. Last year, the Boosters teamed up with the Jewell Buckman American Legion Post 529 to build new varsity baseball dugouts and benches. They also sponsor a Wall of Fame that recognizes outstanding athletes, coaches and supporters, as well as two annual scholarships.
