Jared Michael Davis, of Churchville, son of Bayard and Sharon Davis, will be serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Paris, France. He will be leaving the end of March.


Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Tau Xi Chapter at Roberts Wesleyan College inducted the following local members: Gloria Bean, Charlotte Cook, Kelly Denall, Erica Diehl, Robert Ginsberg, Linda Newman, Russell Pelton, Andrea Phillips, Michael Pisa, Kristin Redmond, Karen Roser, Theresa Schneider, Joshua Smith, Gail Testa, Elizabeth Tomaszczuk, Christine Wood, Cheryl Crotser, Colleen Donegan, Patricia Fiore, Linda Holderle, E. John Masco, of the Department of Physical Education and Sport at SUNY Brockport, received his "Hall of Fame" ring from the North American Sports Federation (ASA affiliated). Masco is the current New York State Commissioner for Softball and had been inducted into the National and State Halls of Fame at Oklahoma City, ASA Headquarters, and ASA Binghamton, New York, 1993 and 1994, respectively. Masco was inducted as a Hall of Honor umpire as well as NASF Commissioner.

Masco was invited to supervise the NASF Girls Fast Pitch Softball Camps in June 2006 and again in January 2007, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was also asked to teach four classes at the Providence High School in Jacksonville. He has taught softball, football, and volleyball officiating and coaching for the past 15 years at SUNY Brockport.

Masco has had a girls fast pitch softball league in the summer for 10 years. Last summer over 1,200 girls went through his program, leagues and tournaments. He often volunteers as a guest speaker/instructor/rules interpreter in the high schools and colleges.


Gabrielle Plucknette of Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for the second quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A fourth-year student in RIT's School of Photographic Art and Science, Plucknette is studying photojournalism and will graduate this May. She is a 2003 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Kimberly Golis, a senior at Rochester Institute of Technology, has been named to the dean's list, achieving a 4.0 GPA for the 2006-2007 winter semester.

A 2003 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, she is majoring in new media design and imaging. She is the daughter of James and Janell Golis of Churchville.


Sarah Mangan, of Brockport has been named to the dean' s list for the fall 2006 semester at the University of Vermont. Mangan, an English major, is a sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Lauren Ridley, a 2005 graduate of Holley High School, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She is enrolled as a biology/pre-med student with the University's Honors Program and is the daughter of Michael and Joyce Ridley.


The National Republican Congressional Committee announced that Pamela Moore has been appointed to serve on the Business Advisory Council (BAC) in recognition of valuable contributions and dedication to the Republican Party. Moore will serve the state of New York and is expected to play a crucial role in the Party's efforts to involve top business people in the process of government reform.


Prudential Discover Real Estate's Top Sales Agent for February 2007 was Bridget Massaro. She specializes in existing residential and new construction. She also holds a license as a residential appraiser.

Massaro is a Gates resident and has been in real estate for many years.


Prudential Discover Real Estate's Top Listing Agent for February 2007 is Lisa Eisenhauer. She is a member of the Volunteer Gates Ambulance and is also a resident of Gates.


Joan Greeno, Associate Broker of Nothnagle Realtor's Chili-Ogden Office, was recognized for producing $5 million in sales for 2006. She was recognized at the Nothnagle Awards Luncheon in January.

Greeno is a member of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors (GRAR) and the Rochester-area Women's Council of Realtors (WCR). During her real estate career, she has received numerous awards, including GRAR's Sales Master and Sales Master Gold awards, WCR's Pinnacle Award for outstanding commitment and service, and Nothnagle's coveted "Top 25" award. Greeno also served as manager of the Chili-Ogden office during the mid-90s.

As an active member of Pearce Memorial Church in North Chili, Joan has served on several committees, and as a former trustee. She resides with her husband, Larry, vice president of Planned Giving at Roberts Wesleyan College. They have four grown children and nine grandchildren.


Air Force Airman Lyndsie E. Duemmel graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

She is the daughter of Robert Duemmel of Kendall and Darien Ross of New Mexico. Duemmel is a 2005 graduate of Kendall Junior-Senior High School.


Private Peter K. Flanagan graduated from Marine Combat Recruit Training at MCRT Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. He earned "Expert" marksmanship with the M16A2 service rifle. After graduation and a short leave, Flanagan reported to Camp Geiger, North Carolina, for School of Infantry training. He is the son of Robert and Amy Flanagan of Hilton, and is a 2006 graduate of Brockport High School.
