Christopher Montanaro of Rochester has been named to the dean's list for the winter quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A first year student in RIT's College of Science, he is in the physician assistant program. He is the son of Nick and Romea Montanaro.


Andrew Montanaro of Rochester has been named to the dean's list for the winter quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A student in RIT's College of Science, he is studying biology. He is the son of Nick and Romea Montanaro.


Geneva College has named student Allison Davis of Bergen, a graduate of Brockport Central School, to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester. Davis is a senior and is majoring in biblical studies.

Dean's list status is awarded to those students who have achieved a 3.6 GPA or higher throughout the semester.


Hartwick College freshman Lee Sabo of Holley, son of Carmen and Wesley Sabo, has been named to the fall term dean's list at Hartwick. Inclusion on Hartwick's dean's list is an indication of academic work, including the completion of a full course load with at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.

Sabo is majoring in theatre arts. He is a graduate of Holley High School.


Jennifer D'Angiolillo of Hamlin was named to the dean's list at Saint Leo University for the fall 2006 semester. D'Angiolillo is a junior elementary education major at Saint Leo University.

Students who have earned at least 12 new credits with a term grade point average of 3.65 or higher are recognized on the dean's list, which is announced at the end of each semester.


Stephen Georger, of Rochester, enrolled in the School of Education at Syracuse University, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.


Bianca D'Angelo, of Brockport, enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.


Caitlin Ladd, daughter of Peter and Mary Ladd of LeRoy, was named to the dean's list at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the fall 2006 term. To qualify for this academic honor, students must attain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and complete a minimum of 15 credit hours, of which at least 12 are graded.


Fredonia State senior diver Scott Horsington of Rochester (Churchville-Chili) has been named as a recipient of a 2006-07 SUNYAC Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award. Horsington, a dual major in music education and music performance, was cited for earning the highest grade-point average among men's swimmers and divers who also earned first- or second-team All Conference selection. He was named to the SUNYAC Second Team following the 2007 championship meet.


Ian Penders, of Adams Basin, has been accepted into the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. He will travel to Orlando in mid-August to begin work at the theme park. In addition to working at the park, he will attend classes and earn college credits for the work they do during this internship. He will return home in mid-January to resume his education. Penders has been assigned to the Operations Area. As a member of the Operations Area he could be assigned to any Disney park in Orlando and work in a variety of jobs.

Penders is a 2006 graduate of Brockport Central High School. He is enrolled at SUNY Brockport majoring in English and working toward his teaching certificate. He was a newspaper carrier for the Suburban News for three years and has worked at Eckerd Pharmacy in Spencerport since August 2004. He is the son of Scott and Rhonda Penders.
