The Kiwanis Club of Spencerport was recently honored as a distinguished club by the New York District of Kiwanis International. On hand to deliver the honors was immediate Past Lt. Governor Mike Day. Kiwanis President Dan Halstead was named a Distinguished President and Secretary Keith Ryan received the nod for Distinguished Secretary. A special presentation was also made to immediate Past President Harry Ewell and immediate Past First Lady Carol Nellis-Ewell of the Spencerport Club. They received the New York District of Kiwanis International 2005-06 Achievement Award in International Relations for their efforts to form Kiwanis Clubs in Africa.
