Welcome Center seeks greeters

The Welcome Center on the canalfront in Brockport will open for its third season Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. The Erie Canal begins its season that same day.

Most of the 101 volunteer Canalfront Greeters from 2006 are expected to return, but a few additional volunteers are being recruited. The main role of the greeters is to welcome canal travelers to the village and register boaters who want access to the canalfront facilities.
