BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education
students place at state competition
Seventy BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education students attended the state wide Skills USA competition held in Syracuse April 18-20. Bringing home honors were: Midge McCloskey, NYS Advisor of the Year; Tianna Bethune, NYS President.
First Place Awards were presented to: Kaitlyn O'Connor for American Spirit; Grace DiDomenico for Electronics Technology; Jennyrae Brongo for Job Demo B; Serena Savino for Nail Tech; Katie Cumbo for Nurse Assisting; Mike Knor for Basic Vehicle Maintenance and Mike Dempsey for Industrial Motor Control.
Second Place Awards went to: Lindsey Welter for Cosmetology Senior and Shawn Iachetta for Technical Computer Application.
Third Place Awards were handed out to: Richard Kim for Electronics Application; Ketura Clark for Extemporaneous Speaking; Nate Ames, Jena Antos, Lisa Finocchio, Matthew Heidt and Samantha Miller, all for Quiz Bowl.
