Chili Senior Center offerings

The Chili Senior Center has planned the following events. Call the center at 889-6185 to register or for information.

•Stretch and Strengthen - A fun and lively workout at 3 p.m. on the first Tuesday and at 1:30 the others. This free program is offered by Agape Physical Therapy.

•Tai Chi Exercise Program - Tuesdays at the Senior Center 9:30-10:30 a.m. A new six week

•New Woodcarvers Group Forming -The Chili Senior Center will host a local woodcarving group beginning Wednesday, May 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Bring your latest project and join us. Beginners are welcome. Call Lynn at 594-5748 for information.

•Mothers Day Luncheon - Friday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $6 per person, includes lunch and activity. Reservations required.

•Lilac Festival "Senior Day" - Wednesday, May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost $5 per person. Lunch is on your own.

•Monroe County Fishing Derby - Thursday, May 17 at 7 a.m. Bring your own gear to the center and join us as we head to Powder Mill Park. Fishing starts at 8 a.m. Contest ends at 10 a.m. Cost is $3.

•Monroe County Spring Fling at Monroe Community Hospital - Friday, May 18. Depart the center at 9:30 a.m., return by 2:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch, music by Len Hawley and the Hot Flash Dancers, door prizes, raffles. Cost is $5 each. Limited number of tickets.

•Memorial Day Picnic - Wednesday, May 30 at 11 a.m. Woodside Lodge at Black Creek Park. Music provided by Dick Mazzatti. Cost is $5. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

•Salute to Seniors - Thursday, May 31 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. Enjoy jazz music, finger foods, beverage and elegance. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Cost is $3 per person.

•Senior Golf League - begins the first week of May. Golfers meet on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. at Churchville Chili Golf Course. New members welcome.

•Chili Senior Center Fall Trip - Join the Chili Seniors on this six day trip to Bar Harbor, Maine on Monday, September 3 and returning on Saturday, September 8. Visit Kennebunkport, Boothbay Harbor, Ogunquit, Camden, Portland, Freeport, Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island and more. Trip includes: Round trip transportation via motor coach, five nights accommodations, five breakfasts, five dinners, including a traditional Maine Lobster feast. Price includes hotel taxes, baggage handling, tips and gratuities. Cost: single, $1,082 per person; twin, $835 per person; and triple, $775 per person.
