Flying kites in the park

On Saturday, April 28 residents came together to participate in Hilton-Parma Recreation's first ever "Kites in the Park" celebration. Although rain was in the air, wind conditions were perfect and more than 300 participants enjoyed the afternoon.

Organizers thank Rick Furnal of Hilton Big M who co-sponsored the event and provided the hot dogs and chips. Carm Carmestro and Joe Lee took care of all the cooking, while Gabby, Wilma and Bumpkin the clown took care of the entertainment. Members of St. Leo's Youth Group, Hilton High School's Student Government and the Hilton-Parma Recreation Commission volunteered their time.
