Jim Ferris Memorial 5K race steps off June 23

Runners are invited to participate in the Jim Ferris Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, June 23. The race starts at 9 a.m., walk at 10 a.m. at the Holley Elementary School.

The certified course is slightly rolling with no steep or long hills. Cash awards and others in the following categories will be presented: Overall Male and Female, First Masters Male and Female and the first finisher in each age group will receive trophies or medals. All registered runners will be entered into raffle. Fun Run/Walk: Each participant will receive a ribbon. There will be a cash award of $50 for course record (15:46) and Masters Record (16:06). A special award with the name and time of the first master in the 5K Race will be engraved on the Jim Ferris Plaque. The first 100 registered runners for the 5K run will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Participants in the Fun Run/Walk who want t-shirts should add $7 to their fee.

Pre-registration by June 20 is $10; after June 20, the fee is $12.
