The Great Lakeside Bed Race is back for a second year. Organizers are seeking residents to form teams of five co-workers, neighbors, family or friends, decorate a bed and be a part of the fundraiser to benefit Lakeside Health System. Sponsored by Edward Jones Investments, Becky Gillette, financial advisor, the second Bed Race is Sunday, July 15 during the Brockport Merchants Sidewalk Sale on Main Street in Brockport. Corporations, community groups and individual sponsors are invited to participate. Competing teams of five will race a bed along Main Street. Contestants will be required to participate in several challenges during the race. A perpetual trophy will be awarded for the fastest bed. Other categories include Best Decorated and People's Choice. There are a limited number of beds available on a first-come, first-served basis.
