Hilton High School Athletic Department has recognized 2006-07 scholar athletes at its annual Cadet Appreciation Night on May 31. In the fall of 2006, 100 percent of the Hilton teams were Scholar Athlete Teams (average GPA for all team members was 90 percent or above) and in the winter/spring, nine out of 10 teams, and in the spring, six out of seven teams met the criteria established by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).

Scholar athlete fall students are: Alexandra Vasile, Cheerleading; Shelby Herman, Kristen Campbell, Elizabeth Lennon and Allison Sawyer, Girls Cross Country; Timothy Spath, Boy's Cross Country; Kathryn Godshalk, Girl's Field Hockey; Nichole Perrin, Girl's Soccer; William Spencer, Boy's Soccer; Gregory Earnhart, Boy's Football; Audrey Keene, Girl's Gymnastics; Mary Juergens, Girl's Swimming; Diana Hunte, Girl's Tennis; Michael Fowler, Boy's Volleyball and Lindsay Pundt, Girl's Volleyball.

Scholar athlete winter students are: Alexandra Vasile, Cheerleading; Erin Marble, Girl's Basketball; Shelby Fromm, Girl's Bowling; Elizabeth Lennon and Shelby Herman, Girl's Indoor Track; John Picardo, Boy's Indoor Track; Robert Dill, Boy's Ice Hockey; Matthew Endres, Boy's Bowling; Brendan Goodwine, Boy's Swimming; Brian Duffy, Boy's Basketball and Joseph Yockel, Boy's Wrestling.

Scholar athlete spring students are: Megan O'Connell, Girl's Softball; Shelby Herman, Girl's Track; Greg Earnhart, Boy's Lacrosse; Eric Kukura, Boy's Tennis; Brian Duffy, Boy's Baseball; Mikel Giordano, Boy's Track and William Slocum, Boy's Golf.
