CCE offers dial gauge testing

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County's Nutrition Department offers dial gauge testing for pressure canners. For a $5 fee, gauges will be tested for accuracy and certified for use up to one year from the certification date. Anyone interested can drop off their gauge and lid at the Extension Center, 420 East Main Street, Batavia or call 585-343-3040 extension 114 for more details. When bringing in gauges and lids, participants should provide payment in the form of cash or check, name, address and a telephone number where they can be reached. Allow up to one week for testing.
