Lakeside Foundation recognized the LMH Twig Association at luncheon on May 23. Members of the Twig Association raised money through a variety of fundraisers and donated $36,356 during 2006.

The Twig Association purchased furniture and equipment for the new Lakeside Family Birthing Center which opened in August, 2006 including birthing beds, sleeper chairs, tables, delivery carts and furnishing the Family Waiting Room. Twig members also operate the Twig Gift Shop; supply the art work throughout the campus; fund five $1,000 health center scholarships; maintain the courtyard; host the Twig Tree of Lights and Tour of Homes along with many other fundraisers.

Kevin C. Nacy, CEO of Lakeside Health System, said, "We are grateful for the outstanding support of the Twig Association, and I applaud each and every member for dedicating their time and effort on the many special projects that enhance the Lakeside campus and benefit our patients and residents. The financial support of the Twig Association is extraordinary." He presented a framed certificate to the president of the Twig Association in recognition of their support. A drawing was held for several prizes and the winners were: Anne Johantgen, Bittersweet; Sandra Hare, Crabapple; Evelyn Krekic, Lilac; Sue Daul, Buttonwood.
