Local gymnasts place at States

Bright Raven Gymnastics Boys Teams traveled to Binghamton May 20 to compete in the USA Gymnastics Level 4 State Championships. In the nine-year-old division, Seth Daniels of Churchville took third place all around (53.50) and medaled in each of the six individual men's events. He was second in floor exercise (9.30), fourth on pommel horse (8.60), third on rings (8.80), fourth on vault (9.50), third on parallel bars (8.80) and third on high bars (9.50). John Fichter of Gates also competed in the nine-year-old division and placed sixth on both vault (9.40) and high bar (8.10).

John Henderson of Greece competed in the 11-year-old division medaling in every event and earning fourth all around (52.30). In the individual events he was fourth on vault (9.40), parallel bars (8.50) and high bar (8.60), fifth on floor exercise (8.40) and rings (9.10) and sixth on pommel horse (8.30).

In the eight-year-old division, Alex Reber of Brockport took second place on rings (9.30), fourth on pommel horse (8.60) and sixth on vault (9.50).
