Rotary honors club and community members

On June 16 at its annual Changeover Dinner, the Spencerport Rotary Club honored and surprised two individuals with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Alice Sidoti, a member of the club for the past three years, was recognized for her work on numerous club projects and her behind-the-scenes support of individual club chairmen.

Also recognized was community member Lewis "Bud" Nichols, for his tireless efforts on projects such as the Gazebo and Depot. These awards were presented on behalf of the membership by Milton Danko, Rotary Foundation Chairman.

Also present on this occasion were representatives of the Town of Ogden and the Village of Spencerport, who witnessed the "Passing of The Gavel" from outgoing president, Sandy McLellan, to incoming, George Blickwede. Blickwede will lead the club until June 30, 2008.
