David Goodrich

Hilton chooses
'Citizen of the Year'

David Goodrich was chosen as the 2007 Citizen of the Year by the Hilton Village Board. Selected from a list of six other worthy individuals, Goodrich was chosen due to his long-term caring commitment to the Hilton Parma community, according to Mayor Larry Gursslin.

On Sunday, June 23 at Lakeview Community Church, Pastor Tim Bush called upon Gursslin to make the formal presentation to Goodrich who was joined by his wife Marilyn and children, John, Kathy and Peggy and friends. Gursslin spoke of Goodrich's involvement in his church, school, (school board member, past president) and community by way of volunteerism in the VFW, Rotary and Salvation Army.

Also in attendance was Village Trustee Joe Lee, who nominated Goodrich and helped make the presentation of a plaque to recognize the occasion and Goodrich for his years of service.

Gursslin thanked Linda Viney, a life-long member of the church, Bush and others for the refreshments that were made available after the service.
