Universal prekindergarten approved at B-B

The Byron-Bergen Central School District has approved the proposal for a Universal Preschool program during the 2007-2008 school year.

The school district received a grant allocation for 20 four-year-olds to receive Universal Prekindergarten for a minimum of two hours per day for 180 school days. The program will be run at the Byron-Bergen Elementary School, 6971 West Bergen Road, Bergen.

The district will choose eligible students based on a lottery system. Students eligible for the program have birth dates between December 1, 2002 and November 30, 2003.
