Churchville Fair walk raises funds for Gilda's Club

The Churchville Lions Club will be sponsoring a fundraising walk to benefit The Gilda's Club of Rochester and The Pluta Cancer Center. The walk will take place as part of The Churchville Lions Country Fair, Sunday, August 19. Registration begins at 8:30 with the walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. Participants will walk through the village starting at the main tent at the Country Fair (West Buffalo Street, Churchville). The route will be approximately three miles in length. Post walk, participants will be offered beverages and snacks under the main tent. The walk is non-competitive and is strictly a fundraiser.

The cost is a $10/person donation and $25 for a family of three or more. Anyone getting donations totaling over $25 is eligible for raffle prizes. For more information, contact Lion Jim Lamica (293-1271) or Lion Dickson Hawthorne (293-0544).
