Hunter safety course planned

The Holley Rod & Gun Club will hold the N.Y.S. Basic Hunter Education Course at the club grounds on Pumping Station Road, south of the Village of Holley.

The August course will begin August 15 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and continue August 17 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. concluding on August 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The September classes will be September 12 and September 14 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and September 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All first time hunters must complete the Hunter Education Course before they can obtain a N.Y. State hunting license. Students must be 11-years-old to attend the classes.

Pre-register for courses at the Holley Rod & Gun Club on Thursdays between 6 and 9 p.m.
