AREA
Roets, Leon A., of Palmyra, formerly of Spencerport, died August 2, 2007 at Clifton Springs Hospital at the age of 96. Mr. Roets is survived by his wife Donna J. Roets; children Donald (Jean) Roets of Macedon, Shirley (Charles) Hurley of Walworth, Carol (Don) Walker of Fairport, Lee Roets of Shortsville, Roger (Marjorie) Roets of Virginia and Alan (Wendy) Roets of Colorado; sister Marie Krause of Rochester; daughters-in-law Shirley Roets of Victor and Jackie Roets of Canandaigua; 34 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren and growing. He was predeceased by his sons Ardean and Gerald Roets; infant twin sons, James and John, and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Waterman Roets. He and the former Donna Skinner were married August 10, 1957 in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Leon was a former member of the First Congregational Church of Spencerport and a current member of Western Presbyterian Church, Palmyra. He was employed by Garlock during WWII, Bloomer Brothers for 15 years and had retired from Beechnut Baby Foods after 25 years of service.
A Funeral Service was held August 6 at the Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra. Burial in Fairfield Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions in memory of Leon can be directed to Clifton Springs Hospital Dialysis Unit, 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, New York 14432.
Walker, Jack E., of Barker, died August 1, 2007, at age 67. He was a former machine operator at Owens Illinois in Brockport and also worked for over 20 years as a truck driver for Akzo Nobel in Burt, New York. Jack was also a proprietor of the "Auction Block" in Middleport for several years. After retiring, both he and his wife, Julie, spent their time breeding and raising quarter horses at their farm in Barker. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Julie (Brocksopp) Walker; sons Curtis and Timothy of Brockport, Michael (Julie) of Wyoming, New York, Justin and Travis at home; daughters Christine (Glen) Wilson of Hamlin, Kimberly and Melissa Walker at home; nine grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held August 6 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Holley. Contributions can be made in his memory to the family for the children's education fund.
BERGEN
Homan, Mary S., August 3, 2007, at age 85; mother of Amy (Jack) Kendrot of Bergen and John (Susan Morrow) Homan of Penfield; grandmother of Adam and Justin Kendrot of Bergen and nieces and nephews survive. Sister of the late Jane McKowen.
Funeral Services were held August 7 at H. E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, Bergen. Donations can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital, 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420, LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, 10 Munson Street, LeRoy 14482 or a local hospice agency in her memory.
BROCKPORT
Grygiel, Bethany E., Died August 6, 2007 peacefully in her sleep. Predeceased by her husband, Edward. Survived by her son, Terry (Natalia); daughters, Hollis (Robert) Webster and Bethany (Douglas) Washburn; grandchildren, Mary Beth Edward (Courtney), Adam, and Cassandra Webster, Nicole and Michelle Washburn; great grandson, Edward John Webster; brother, Bernard Boyd; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service was held August 10 at St. Luke's Church, Brockport. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice in her memory.
Kobryn, Amy B., August 3, 2007, at age 30, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband and best friend, Christopher Kobryn; parents, Doris (Herman) McClelland; brothers and sisters, Michael McClelland, Linda (Robert) Hahn, Thomas McClelland, Nancy (Paul) Pettyjohn, Peggy (Michael) John, Cindy (Al) Jones and Tracy (Geoff) Wehle; father and mother-in-law, Michael (Athena) Kobryn; sister-in-law, Lisa (Chris) Mangold; brother-in-law, M. J. Kobryn; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; her beloved pets; many friends.

Linscott, Elizabeth (Betsy) (Roberts), 83 years of age, August 2, 2007, of Melbourne Beach, Florida, formerly of Brockport. Devoted wife of the late Mortimer Lee Linscott and loving mother of Roger E. Linscott and his wife, Rose of Pittsford and Diane L. Cooney and her husband, Daniel of Boxford, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lynne MacDonald and Mark Cooney and twin great-granddaughters.
A Graveside Service was held August 10 at the Lake View Cemetery, Brockport.
Trimmer, Winifred E., Formerly of Dillsburgh, Pennsylvania. On August 3, 2007. Predeceased by her husband, John Luther and son, Jan. She is survived by her children, Sally Beth, Dwight, Roger, Jonelle; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held August 8 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Gettysburg National Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Humane Society or Seymour Library in her memory.
Vanelli, Leonard L., August 7, 2007, age 88. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Dorothy; daughter, Geraldine (Dave) Denny; twin sons, Leonard (Mary) and Larry and children, Shirley Drury, Patricia Corcimiglia, Randy Vanelli; step-children, Tommy, Pricilla, Charlie, Diane and Cindy. Predeceased by Richard and Danny. Survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also two brothers and one sister of Batavia.
Funeral Service were held August 10 at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery.

Cotsworth, Margaret, August 1, 2007. Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George; children, Michael (Linda), Anthony (Susie), Elizabeth (Martin) Wagner of Arlington, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael (Karen), Scott, Tania (Steve), Adrian (Donna), Ariel, Julia and Kelsey; five great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Nelva); sisters, Doreen and Jean; several nieces and nephews.

Decker, Nancy Z., August 6, 2007 at age 58. Predeceased by father, Herbert M. Zweig. She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy; devoted children, Kate, Andrew and Julia; adoring mother, Harriet Zweig; brother, Stephen Zweig; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and many special friends. Nancy was a graduate of Ohio State, a member of the Ridgemont Country Club and active volunteer at Camp Good Days and Special Times. She worked for over 35 years at J. P. Morgan Chase.

O'Connell, Margaret A. "Peggy," Suddenly, July 31, 2007, age 77. She is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Robert) Pierce, Brian K. (Pam) O'Connell; three grand-children, Megan Ann Pierce, Stephanie and Kenny O'Connell.

Kearney, Joseph P. "Joe," Suddenly, July 20, 2007, in Clearwater, Florida, age 58. Survived by his wife, Ayda; stepson, Jesse; daughters, Heidi (Rick Nellis) Kearney and Jessica Bailey; sister, Kathleen Kearney; brothers, Richard (Rita) Kearney and Jack Hawks. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a longtime wonderful friend, Ilse Kearney. Joe's family were longtime proprietors of the Willow Inn in Hilton.

Marshall, Elaine H. (Toal), Peacefully, August 6, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Philip C. Marshall; her sons, Philip, Paul (Maureen) and Bruce (Karen Keck) Marshall; three granddaughters, Jill, Julie and Jamie Marshall; her sisters, Geraldine Ingham, Teresa (Ray) Veness, Pauline (Ed) Klaver; her brothers, Jack (Doris), Bernard (Nancy) and Thomas Toal; sisters-in-law, Vera VanAtta and Jean Toal; her aunt, Elizabeth Jennejohn; her devoted caregivers including Maria Sanchez; many nieces and nephews.

Higley, Lawrence "Bob," Age 77, August 2, 2007. Predeceased by his first wife Mary. Survived by his wife of 14 years, Joan; daughters, Joan Fredrickson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Julia (Michael) Larkin of Rochester; grandchildren, Stephanie, Johanna and Erik Fredrickson and Abigail Larkin.

Zwerger, Roy J., July 28, 2007 at the age of 82. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Diane I. Zwerger; step-daughter, Donna (Stephen) Reynolds; son, William (Theresa) Zwerger of Mooresville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kevin Reynolds, Erik, Rachel and Emily Zwerger; brothers, Robert, Richard (Elizabeth) Zwerger; sister, Norma Sweeney; mother-in-law, Florence Isselhard; brother-in-law, George (Margaret) Isselhard; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Fornarola, Harry F., August 6, 2007. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosaria Fornarola; sister Georgina Subrani. Harry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Angela M. Spinelli Fornarola; children Joseph (JoAnn) Fornarola, Andrew (Jeanne) Fornarola, Roseann (Michael) Kilduff, Stephen (Monique "Nikki") Fornarola; grandchildren, Andrea, Laura, Andrew, Peter, Claire, Thomas, Rachel, Stephen Fornarola Jr., Devon Kilduff; brother Joseph (Vicki) Fornarola; sisters, Mary Freddoso, Yolanda Gaudio; several nieces and nephews. Harry was a WWII veteran and a retiree of Marine Midland Bank.
