Sweden Senior Center classes to begin

Fall classes planned at the Sweden Senior Center, 133 State Street, Brockport include:

•Adult Piano Lessons-Beginning and Intermediate on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon (in half hour sessions) from September 11 through December 4 (no class October 30). Fee: $120 (12 weeks)

•Computer classes for the beginner and advanced beginner user are being offered beginning Friday, September 21. Classes run for four weeks. Fee is $30 for residents of Clarkson and Sweden. Beginner classes are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Advanced Beginner classes are from 1 to 3 p.m. Those 50+ are invited to join the computer age.

•Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise for health that relaxes and strengthens the body and mind through graceful and slow movements. The regular practice of Tai Chi can help improve overall health by strengthening the cardiovascular system, improving elasticity and alignment of the spine and helping with balance issues. Fee: $30. Beginner classes begin Friday, September 21, at 2:15 p.m. and run for six weeks.

•Painting - A loosely structured art class for beginners as well as for those who have done some painting or drawing. Choice of watercolor, oil or colored pencils. Fee: $25. Runs Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. from September 25 through November 20.
