Holley Board appoints elementary assistant principal
Regina Yeo of Wyoming, NY was appointed Holley elementary assistant principal at the August 20 Holley Board of Education meeting. "This job is a perfect fit for me in that my children used to attend school here and I did my student teaching in Holley. It's like coming home," she said.
Yeo has worked in the Warsaw Central School District for the past 10 years, most recently as a teacher on special assignment working on curriculum. Before that, she was the elementary building computer coordinator, and taught third and fourth grades.
A graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College, Yeo has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's in education. She also has certification as a school district administrator, and school administrator and supervisor from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Yeo said she believes that grouping classrooms by grade level, a change that was made for the 2007-08 school year, will be a real benefit at Holley Elementary School. "I'm really looking forward to meeting parents, students, and staff, and working with everyone to create the best possible school environment," she said.
Yeo and her husband, Doug, have four grown children and one grandchild. The couple lives on small farm in Wyoming where they raise and board Arabian horses. Yeo also enjoys reading, boating and camping.
She began her new position on August 27.
