Brannan leads Devils to first win

Victoria Brannan finished first in consecutive events and Jami Barber and Emma Snow took the top two spots in the 50-yard freestyle as Brockport defeated Batavia 99-76 in girls swimming.

Brannan won the 100-yard freestyle in :58.21 and immediately jumped right back in the pool to take the 500-yard freestyle in 5:54.88. Barber won the 50-yard freestyle in :27.93 and with Snow, launched the Blue Devils into the lead after they trailed through the first three events.

Michelle Mondy won the 200-yard Individual Medley in 2:30.64 and Kelley Anzalone the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.32. Claire Dishong and Liz Hazel finished one-two in the diving competition with Dishong earning 129.95 points.

Before the Blue Devils swam the final three events exhibition, the sisters team of Hanna and Emma Carpenter and Emma and Hali Snow won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.20. Brockport evened their record at 1-1 with the victory.
