Rachel's Challenge coming to Kendall
On Thursday, October 4, students at Kendall Junior/Senior High School will attend a Rachel's Challenge assembly. This audio and video presentation is a program which chronicles the life of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Rachel's accomplishments as well as her consideration for others along with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America.
"Rachel's Challenge is part of a year-long initiative that we truly hope will impact students and the way they treat their peers," said Carol D'Agostino, Kendall Junior/Senior High School (KJSHS) principal.
A community presentation of Rachel's Challenge will be offered on October 4 at 7 p.m. at the school for parents, families and community members.
Teachers and members of the National Honor Society will provide child care. A hamburger supper sponsored by the Junior Class will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m.
