BROCKPORT
Peterson, Lois M., 82, died October 13, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Christopher) Converse of Brockport; a grandson, Kyle Converse of Brockport; a brother, Richard Dargusch of Penfield; sisters, Shirley Beswick of Spencerport and Nancy (Daniel) Putnam of Dunkirk; aunts, Maybelle Anchor of LeRoy and Viola Roblee of LeRoy; uncle Ernest (Connie) Roblee of Delaware, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Richard in 1983.
Funeral Services were held October 18 at the United Methodist Church, LeRoy. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
HAMLIN
Mason, Cory M., age 33, October 10, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Amy; parents C. Dwight and Nancy Mason; sister Leslie (Brian) Ennis; grandfather Frank Brechue; grandmothers Ina Mason and Irene Brechue; family-in-law, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Todd Mason in 1994 and grandfather Robert Mason in 2003.
A Memorial Service was held October 15 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to the family in his memory.
HILTON
Giancursio, Margaret (Cavey), October 14, 2007, at age 76. She was predeceased by her husband, Leucio N. Giancursio. She is survived by her daughters Donna L. Giancursio and Cheryl (Randy Brown) Giancursio; her granddaughter Crystal N. Brown; her brothers Richard (Wendy) Cavey and David Cavey Sr.; her step mother Amelia Cavey; several nieces and nephews. Margaret was a retiree of the New York State Department of Transportation.
A Graveside Service was held October 18 at White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions can be made to Palliative Center for Caring, 1450 Portland Avenue, Rochester 14621 in her memory.
NORTH CHILI
Chapin, Robert W., October 14, 2007, at the age of 69. He is survived by his brother, Glenn L. (Norma); his sister, Marian Schramm; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held October 17 at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church in his memory.
Richter, Donald C., October 14, 2007. Survived by his loving wife, Virginia Richter; children, Nancy (Paul) Grieco, Donald C. (Catherine) Richter Jr., James N. (Christine) Richter; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three very special girls, Kathleen (John) Niener, Donna (Leo) Nowak, Judy (Gerald) Sadler; several nieces and nephews. Donald was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII; a member of Local #503 GCIU, active member of Chili American Legion Post #1830 and VFW Gates Post #10765. He was also retired from Case-Hoyt Printing.
A Memorial Mass was said October 18 at St. Christ-opher's Church, North Chili.
SPENCERPORT
Griebel, Frederick F., Sunday, October 14, 2007, at age 90. he was predeceased March 1, 2007, by his wife of 66 years, Rita A. (Penders) Griebel. He is survived by his daughter Patricia (John) Hendricks; grandson Todd (Connie) Hendricks; great-granddaughters, Alison and Miranda; sister Anna (Jim) Gardner; nephew Hank (Judy) Gardner of Mesa, Arizona; beloved niece Shirley (Richard) Deruyscher; including his very close and dear friends, Leon and Kathy Hinman; nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of the Town of Ogden Highway Department, a member of Ferris Goodridge American Legion Post #330 and Brockport Elks Lodge #2110.
A Memorial Mass was said October 17 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Ferris Goodridge American Legion Post #330 or to Brockport Elks Lodge #2110 in his memory.
Ruggeri, Anthony D., October 11, 2007, at age 80. He is survived by his wife Gail (Duffy) (O'Connor) Ruggeri; his children, Michelle (Paul) Maccarone, Rose (Bob) Cooper and Anthony Ruggeri; his stepchildren Colleen (Gary) Brongo and Tim (Kim) O'Connor; his sisters Louise Tarmino and Jeannie Huch; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Ruggeri and stepchildren Kim Brongo and Terry O'Connor. Anthony was owner of Ruggeri Manu-facturing Co.

Smith, Lesley W., October 15, 2007 at age 87. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Pardy) Smith; his children, Laurie (Paul) Pellittieri of Ontario, NY, Leslie Smith of Alexandria, Virginia and Lee (Denise) Smith of Denver, Colorado; his grandson, Nick Pellittieri; sisters, Hester Smith and Lois Mills; brother, George (Rita) Smith; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He graduated from Brockport High School. Les served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a 2nd Lt. B-17 Co-pilot in the 8th Air Force. His plan was shot down by German ground fire; he was captured by the enemy and sent to Stalag Luft 1 for 17 months. Les partnered with his brother George to form Mayward Farms Dairy Farm in Spencerport. He continued farm work even af-ter the sale of the business in 1981. He was a member of the Ogden Presbyterian Church, was a scuba instructor at the YMCA, volunteered for Spencerport Ambulance and was part owner of a Trakehner horse named Amanda.
