The Spencerport Rotary Club distributed a dictionary to each third-grade student at the Spencerport Schools, St. Johns and Northstar Christian Academy. The local Rotary sponsorship is under the guidance of The National Dictionary Project whose primary purpose is to have students enjoy the benefits of a large vocabulary.

Spencerport Rotary dictionary project chair, Jim Infantino said the goal of this program is to assist students in completing the school year as good writers, active readers and creative thinkers by providing students with their own dictionary.
