Firefighters from volunteer companies in Bergen, Byron, South Byron, Batavia, LeRoy and Churchville came to Byron-Bergen Elementary School in October to present a program about fire safety. Students learned about Exit Drills in the Home (E.D.I.T.H.), went through a Smoke House and viewed fire equipment. Fourth grade teacher Craig Schroth "suited up" for students in firefighting gear.
