Annual pumpkin hunt, dance held

On Friday, October 26, Riga Recreation held its seventh annual Halloween Pumpkin Hunt & Dance for fifth, sixth and seventh grade students that were residents of the town. The event was held at the William Maher Lodge at the Sanford Road Park Facility.

A costume contest was held, the winners were: first place, "Fortune Teller," Shannon Gray; second place, "Bride of Frankenstein," Emily Kasmer; third place, "China Girl," Michelle Vullo; fourth place, "Super Woman," Alysa Blasatti and fifth place, "King Tut," James Buduson. Supervisor's Choice awards went to "Court Jester," Julia Piotrowicz and "Bat Girl," Haley Ukshe.

The following groups made the event successful: Marty Molinari and his Leo Club members, Chelsea and Amanda Pitcher, Anne Hartman, Joe Lipari, Penny Sexton and Riga Recreation Committee Chair Rick Schake.
