Clarification

In the October 21 edition of Suburban News and Hamlin-Clarkson Herald, information provided by Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) officials on a public meeting planned for October 24 at the Churchville-Chili School was printed. After the issue went to print, an update from the DEC stated the meeting had been rescheduled. Individuals showed up for the meeting and were confused about the notice and phoned Westside News Inc. to question the information provided. Calls to DEC officials confirmed that the meeting should have been rescheduled but wasn't and that they don't plan to hold any meetings locally even though there have been recent bear sightings.
