Second graders in Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Williams' classes at the Byron-Bergen Elementary School are learning about process writing. Students took part in a cooking project that required reading and writing. They had to read and carry out the directions on how to make apple turnovers. They recorded the steps they took and wrote about the process. Lily Mercovich and Adam Swapceinski write about apple turnovers while making and tasting them.
