Hilton Girl Scouts keep pact to open time capsules after 12 years

Annabella Nichols, Shaniah Pfeffer, Ella Newman, Samantha Sarnowski, and Hartley Lenhard of Girl Scout Troop 60450 from Hilton planted time capsules when they were in kindergarten (top left photo) and made a pact to dig them up after prom. They kept the pact and dug them up after 12 years, with Emma Varel retrieving Hartley’s time capsule because she had to work that day. Among the items that had been buried were photos, a loved toy, an all about me sheet, tickets from a movie that was popular at the time, Chuck E. Cheese tokens, tickets from events they attended, and even a Suburban News article the girls were featured in when they were Daisy Scouts. After retrieving the time capsules, the girls replanted the flowers they originally planted at Quest Elementary. Provided information and photos.
