The Hilton Youth Travel Baseball Club hosted the 2013 “Battle of Bats.” The U9 Hilton Cadets Team, coached by Dave Batz, won the championship beating Churchville 19-3 in the finals on July 21. The young Cadets combined some timely hitting and incredible defensive plays to carry them to the Championship. The win in the final was especially sweet, given the Saints had beaten the Cadets 3-2 in extra innings in a preliminary game that was played Saturday, July 20.
