Brockport’s Winter Serenades
Post-Valentine’s Concert February 22
Brockport’s annual Sunday afternoon Winter Serenades music series continues with singer extraordinaire Cindy Miller and singer/pianist Alan Jones at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
The post-Valentine’s Day presentation is titled “Wild Again, Beguiled Again: Love Songs for Grown-Ups,” and includes a mix of appealing musical styles.
Miller and Jones toured nationally together for many years with the late Michael Lasser, presenting programs about the Great American Songbook.
Parking is available on the street and in the lot immediately behind the venue. The church, on the corner of Main and State Streets, has a ramp and stairs leading to the bright red door at the front entrance.
As with all Winter Serenades, a simple reception follows, offering an opportunity to meet the artists and visit with friends. The performance will be live-streamed at stlukesbrockport.org and will be available for later viewing on that site and on YouTube.
The free series is made possible by generous donations from many local music lovers and the volunteer committee members who believe that live music in a welcoming setting is important for everyone.
