Merton Williams students competed against other local middle schools at the annual Science Olympiad competition on March 7.
Students choose events in which to compete and then prepare for months prior to the competition. There are both research/testing events and building/engineering events. Hilton medaled in the Experimental Design, Write It/Do It, and Potions and Poisons events.
This year’s team was composed of Caitlin Adams, Emma Crudele, Lucy Crudele, Leo DiPasquale, Ella Eason, Kendall Flannery, Gabby Gotham, Ezra Hunsinger, Bishoy Killinni, Leo Pino, Lillian Schuler, and Mikaela Wawrzyniak. This is the 20th year that Scott Meagher and Steve Cudzillo have served as club advisors.
