Any district resident interested in running for the Holley Central School District Board of Education must submit a petition on or before 5 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026. Petitions are available in the District Office. The petition must be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the Holley Central School District. The petition may be submitted at any time during business hours to the District Clerk, as long as it is received by April 20, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Three Board members are being elected this year. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will each serve a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2026. The candidate with the third-highest votes will fill a vacant seat and serve a one-year term beginning May 20, 2026.
The board member election is on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Holley Middle/High School Foyer. More information will be mailed to district residents in the May Budget Newsletter and posted online on the budget webpage.
Requirements to run for school board:
- A U.S. citizen
- At least 18 years of age
- Able to read and write
- A district resident for at least one year prior to the election
- Not employed by the district
- Not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family
- Not hold another incompatible public office
- Not a convicted felon
