GTC Releases Long Range Transportation Plan 2050

Open for Public Review and Comments Through May 12
The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, released the full draft Long Range Transportation Plan for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region 2050 (LRTP 2050) and the associated Transportation Air Conformity statement for final public review and comment through May 12.
The purpose of the plan is to establish transportation priorities and strategic direction for the nine-county Genesee-Finger Lakes region. Federal, state, and local governments will use LRTP 2050 to guide transportation investment decision-making in our region over the next 25 years.
The full draft Plan is a result of an assessment of the current transportation system, emerging issues and opportunities, recommendations, and community feedback throughout the process. In addition to the recommendations, the draft LRTP 2050 contains a financial plan with projected revenues to implement the plan and performance measures to evaluate progress.
As part of its transportation planning process, GTC has prepared a draft Transportation Conformity Statement for LRTP 2050 and the 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program for public review. This statement demonstrates that the region’s transportation improvements are not expected to make the region’s air quality worse.
Individuals may access the draft plan and/or the conformity statement and submit comments online by visiting publicinput.com/gtc_lrtp2050. If unable to access via the internet, individuals may call the GTC office by phone 585-232-6240 to make other arrangements to view the draft plan.
