Camp Abilities Returns to SUNY Brockport

Sports Camp for Children with Visual Impairments
Camp Abilities is a summer camp that helps blind and visually impaired children participate in a variety of sports and activities they may not otherwise experience.
The 31st annual camp at SUNY Brockport will kick off on June 28 and end on July 4, 2026. The goal of the camp is to provide one-on-one instructional situations for each camper. The camp will welcome 41 campers and 55 dedicated coaches from around the world.
This year’s camp will feature multiple sports and activities that many campers have never participated in before, including blind tennis, blind soccer, stand-up paddleboarding, and more. Detailed information about the full camp schedule and activities can be found at https://www.campabilities.org/.
On July 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Camp Can Do will invite athletes between the ages of four and seven, who are not old enough to attend the full camp, for a one-day camp where they will participate in activities similar to those offered at Camp Abilities.
Camp Abilities continues to expand its global impact, welcoming students from Switzerland and Malta, as well as three Moroccan Paralympians and three coaches from the Royal Moroccan Federation of Blind and Visually Impaired Sports, who are learning how to develop and launch Camp Abilities programs in their own country.
