The Friends of Hamlin Beach State Park will welcome Perry Ground, a traditional Haudenosaunee storyteller and cultural educator, on Saturday, August 1, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Area 3 of Hamlin Beach State Park.
Ground will present “Stories from Across Turtle Island (North America),” an engaging and interactive program that explores the cultures and traditions of the Indigenous peoples of North America. The presentation is different from the program he offered at the park last year, where he was a favorite among attendees.
The program is free with park admission and is open to all ages.
Visitors are also invited to stay for an evening concert by Blue Sky Band from 6 to 9 p.m., sponsored by Hamlin Beach State Park.
