The Parma Hilton Historical Society (PHHS) invites the entire community to join them on Saturday, August 8, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Parma Hilton Museum,1300 Hilton Parma Corners Road (Town Park), for a very special celebration – the dedication of its America 250 Time Capsule. It will be an afternoon of fun, history, and community spirit.
Everyone is invited to witness the public sealing of the community time capsule and the ceremonial burial of its key, which will remain hidden until it’s opened by future generations during the Tricentennial in 2076. The location will be marked by a new tree planting and a large stone commemorating the event.
The G&D Hots food truck will be on site. Because this event is taking the place of the PHHS annual picnic, all paid PHHS members will receive a $5 lunch voucher.
Come enjoy yard games, family-friendly activities for the kids, the opening of the 1976 Time Capsule, sealed at the time of America’s Bicentennial, and an opportunity to celebrate our community while creating a lasting legacy together.
