The New York Museum of Transportation presents an exhibit of photographs of the Rochester Subway, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of service on the line. Images show stations and subway cars in operation, taken in order from Rowlands Loop in Brighton to the subway car barns on Rochester’s northwest side. A large map provides details of the route, and a short video takes viewers for a ride during the last days of operation.
The gallery exhibit is free with museum admission, which includes a vintage trolley ride, transportation history exhibits, a huge model railroad, and the Midtown Plaza Monorail. Family-friendly admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 65+, and $6 for youths ages 3–12.
