The Churchville-Chili Central School District has appointed Steven Colabufo as the district’s new Director of Data and Accountability.
The Board of Education approved the appointment during its September 8 meeting. Colabufo has served as assistant principal at Churchville-Chili High School since October 2012, where he has worked closely with students, staff and families to support student achievement and school operations. Prior to joining Churchville-Chili, he served as acting assistant principal at East High School after spending 11 years there as a mathematics teacher.
Colabufo holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport, a Master of Science in Math, Science and Technology in Education from St. John Fisher College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education from St. John Fisher College. He also holds New York State certifications as a School District Administrator and in Mathematics, grades 7-12.
As assistant principal at Churchville-Chili High School, he has played an important role in supporting student achievement, school operations, and continuous improvement efforts. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to using data to inform decision-making and enhance educational opportunities for students.
As Director of Data and Accountability, Colabufo will oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of district data to support instructional decision-making and accountability efforts. He will ensure the accuracy and integrity of student information and assessment data, coordinate required state and federal reporting, and provide district leaders with data and insights that support continuous improvement. In addition, he will support the Office of Student Services through responsibilities related to homeschooling processes, special education reporting, and student application systems.

In his new role, Colabufo will work closely with district and building leaders to support data-informed practices, coordinate assessment and reporting processes, maintain accountability records, and provide professional learning and technical support related to student information systems and data reporting.
Colabufo will begin serving in the role on November 15, 2026.
